This Privacy Policy explains how Sitewide Offers.com, trading as SitewideOffers (“SitewideOffers”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit SitewideOffers.com, create an account, subscribe to emails, contact us or interact with our voucher codes, deals and retailer links.

SitewideOffers is an independent affiliate marketing and savings website. We do not sell the products or services featured on our website and we do not process payments made to retailers.

01Who is responsible for your information?

The data controller or business responsible for the personal information described in this policy is:

Sitewide Offers
Trading as: SitewideOffers
Privacy email: publishers@sitewideoffers.com

You may also contact us through our Contact Us page.

02Information we collect

Information you provide directly

Depending on how you use the website, you may provide:

  • your name, email address and account login details;
  • your newsletter subscription preferences;
  • information included in messages, enquiries, feedback, ratings or support requests;
  • records of your consent and privacy choices; and
  • any other information you choose to provide to us.

Passwords are intended to be stored in a protected or hashed form. Please do not send payment card details, passwords or other sensitive information through our contact forms.

Information collected automatically

When you use SitewideOffers, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it;
  • browser, device, operating system and screen information;
  • pages viewed, links clicked, searches, referral source and visit timestamps;
  • cookie identifiers, consent preferences and similar technical identifiers;
  • security, diagnostic and server-log information; and
  • affiliate click or conversion references connected with an outbound retailer link.

We do not intentionally collect precise GPS location, government identification numbers, health information, biometric information or full payment card details.

Information received from partners

Affiliate networks, retailers and service providers may provide limited information about the performance of an affiliate link. This may include a click reference, transaction reference, order value, purchase time, commission amount or whether a transaction was approved, declined or returned. We do not normally receive the shopper’s full payment details from the retailer.

03How we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • operate, secure and maintain SitewideOffers;
  • create and manage user accounts;
  • respond to enquiries, feedback and support requests;
  • send newsletters or promotional emails where permitted;
  • remember cookie and privacy preferences;
  • understand website use and improve navigation, content and performance;
  • measure visits to retailer links and affiliate conversions;
  • detect spam, fraud, abuse, technical faults and security incidents;
  • maintain business, tax, accounting and compliance records;
  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and
  • comply with applicable laws and lawful requests.
04Legal bases for processing

Where UK or European data-protection law applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Consent: for optional analytics or marketing technologies, newsletters and other activities where consent is requested.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate and improve the website, protect security, prevent abuse, understand general performance and measure affiliate activity, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Contract or steps at your request: to provide an account or respond to a service request you make.
  • Legal obligation: where processing is required for tax, accounting, regulatory, legal or law-enforcement purposes.

You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.

05Cookies and similar technologies

SitewideOffers may use cookies, local storage, tags, pixels, scripts and similar technologies. These may be placed by us or by approved service providers.

Necessary technologies

Necessary technologies support security, page functions, account sessions, fraud prevention, consent storage and other features required for the website to work. These cannot normally be disabled through our consent tool.

Preference technologies

Preference technologies may remember choices such as display, language or consent settings.

Analytics technologies

Analytics technologies help us understand how visitors use the website, which pages perform well and where technical or usability improvements may be needed.

Affiliate and marketing technologies

Affiliate and marketing technologies may help attribute a click or purchase to SitewideOffers, measure campaign performance, limit repeated advertising or support relevant marketing. An affiliate network or retailer may set its own cookie when you follow an outbound link.

Where consent is required, optional analytics, affiliate-marketing or advertising technologies will only be used after you make a choice. You can accept, reject or manage optional technologies through the Cookie Settings or Privacy Choices control in the website footer. You may change your choice at any time.

You can also control cookies through your browser. Blocking all cookies may affect account access, preferences or other website functions.

06Affiliate links and retailer websites

Some links on SitewideOffers are affiliate links. If you follow one of these links and later make a qualifying purchase, SitewideOffers may receive a commission from the retailer or affiliate network. This does not normally increase the price you pay.

An affiliate link may contain a campaign, publisher or click identifier. The retailer or affiliate network may use cookies or similar technologies to recognise the referral and report a conversion. Once you leave SitewideOffers, the retailer, affiliate network or other third party processes information under its own privacy policy and terms.

We are not responsible for the privacy, security, pricing, stock, checkout or fulfilment practices of third-party websites.

07When we share information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients where reasonably necessary:

  • website hosting, infrastructure, security, backup and technical-support providers;
  • analytics, tag-management and performance providers;
  • email delivery, newsletter and customer-support providers;
  • affiliate networks, retailers and attribution providers;
  • professional advisers such as accountants, auditors, insurers and legal advisers;
  • regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or public authorities where legally required; and
  • a buyer, investor or successor in connection with a genuine business sale, restructuring or transfer.

Service providers are expected to process information only for authorised purposes and to apply appropriate security measures.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, under some US state privacy laws, certain disclosures involving analytics, advertising or affiliate technologies may be treated as a “sale”, “sharing” or targeted advertising even where no money is exchanged. Where applicable, you may opt out as explained below.

08International data transfers

SitewideOffers is available internationally, and our service providers, affiliate networks and retailers may process information in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, United States, Australia and other countries.

Where required, we use recognised safeguards for international transfers, which may include adequacy regulations or decisions, contractual protections, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, Standard Contractual Clauses, and reasonable security and due-diligence measures.

09How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, security, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution needs.

Typical periods are:

  • Account information: while the account remains active and for a reasonable period after closure.
  • Newsletter information: until you unsubscribe, with a limited suppression record retained where necessary to honour the request.
  • Contact enquiries and feedback: normally up to 24 months, unless the matter requires longer retention.
  • Security and server logs: normally 30 to 90 days, unless needed to investigate an incident.
  • Analytics and affiliate identifiers: according to the relevant cookie duration and provider settings, normally no longer than 24 months.
  • Legal, tax and accounting records: for the period required by applicable law.

We may retain anonymised or aggregated information that no longer identifies an individual.

10Email marketing

We may send newsletters, voucher alerts or promotional emails where you have subscribed or where another lawful basis permits us to do so.

Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe method. You may also contact us to withdraw permission. We may keep a minimal suppression record so that we do not accidentally add an unsubscribed address back to a marketing list.

11Your privacy rights

Your rights depend on where you live and which privacy laws apply. Subject to legal conditions and exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • know whether we process your personal information and access a copy;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of information;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive certain information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent;
  • opt out of direct marketing;
  • opt out of the sale, sharing or use of information for targeted advertising where applicable;
  • appeal a refusal of a privacy request where applicable; and
  • complain to a privacy regulator.

To exercise a right, contact us at publishers@sitewideoffers.com or use our Contact Us page. Please describe your request and the email address or account involved. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity and protect against fraudulent requests.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

12UK and European privacy rights

If UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You also have an absolute right to object to the use of personal information for direct marketing.

You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are in the United Kingdom, or to the data-protection authority in your EEA country. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.

13United States privacy notice

This section applies to residents of US states that provide consumer privacy rights, including California where the relevant law applies to us.

Categories of personal information

During the preceding 12 months, the categories we may have collected include identifiers, internet or electronic-network activity, approximate geolocation, account and contact information, and limited commercial or affiliate-conversion information. We collect this information directly from users, automatically from browsers and devices, and from service providers, affiliate networks or retailers.

Purposes and disclosures

We use and disclose these categories for the business and commercial purposes described in this policy, including website operation, security, analytics, communications, personalisation, affiliate attribution and legal compliance.

Sale, sharing and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. Some optional analytics, advertising or affiliate disclosures may be considered “selling”, “sharing” or targeted advertising under certain state laws. Where applicable, you may opt out using the Privacy Choices or Cookie Settings control in the footer.

Where legally required, we also recognise qualifying browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control. The signal applies to the browser or device sending it. You may need to make a separate account-level request if you want the choice connected with your account.

Sensitive personal information

We do not intentionally collect or use sensitive personal information for purposes that require a separate right to limit under California law.

California and other state rights

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion or portability, or opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. An authorised agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authority and identity verification.

14Australian privacy information

Where the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles apply to us, you may request access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or make a privacy complaint.

Please send complaints to publishers@sitewideoffers.com. We will review the concern and respond within a reasonable period. If you remain dissatisfied, you may be entitled to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Some recipients may be located outside Australia, including in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area and United States. We take reasonable steps required by applicable law when disclosing personal information overseas.

15Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. Measures may include access controls, encryption in transit, password protection, software updates, monitoring, backups and limiting access to people who need the information.

No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for notifying us if you believe an account has been compromised.

16Children

SitewideOffers is a general-audience savings website and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children under 16 for targeted advertising.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

17Third-party links

Our website links to retailers, affiliate networks, social platforms and other third-party services. Their privacy practices are controlled by them, not by SitewideOffers. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party website before providing information or completing a purchase.

18Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, providers, legal obligations or information-handling practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Where a change is material, we may provide an additional notice where appropriate.
